New Tools for Merchants
Maersk expands ecommerce capabilities through partnership with ShippyPro. Maersk, an integrated logistics company, has partnered with ShippyPro, a global shipping management platform. By combining ShippyPro’s management capabilities with Maersk’s logistics network, the partnership aims to provide merchant customers with greater flexibility and carrier choice as they scale their operations across markets.
Shoppable’s Universal Checkout plugin is now available in ChatGPT. Shoppable, a commerce infrastructure provider, announced that its plugin is available in the ChatGPT plugin directory. Built on the universal checkout MCP server it released earlier this year, Shoppable’s plugin brings multi-retailer product discovery and cart-building capabilities to ChatGPT users in the U.S. The plugin gives brands a single connection to a universal checkout backend, multi-retailer product discovery, cart consolidation, and transaction handling, per Shoppable.
Fastly joins Experian Agent Trust for AI commerce. Cloud computing and content delivery company Fastly has partnered with credit data and technology provider Experian, joining its Agent Trust ecosystem. Together, the companies will help enterprises verify AI agents, authorize transactions, and ensure secure transactions, as autonomous commerce continues to grow. Fastly’s programmable edge platform extends Experian’s framework, enabling organizations to evaluate AI agent identity, delegated authority, intent, and payment credentials before requests reach backend systems.
Ecommerce platform ESW launches agentic commerce with Microsoft Copilot. ESW, an ecommerce engine and technology platform, has launched Agentic Commerce. The tool enables brands to integrate and optimize their product catalogs on AI platforms and enables secure checkout and payments within AI-powered shopping experiences. ESW’s Agentic Commerce works alongside retailers’ ecommerce infrastructure, with Microsoft Copilot as the first integration. Transactions can be completed securely within the AI experience to reduce friction between discovery and checkout.
Lightspeed Commerce integrates with Meta Conversions API to measure in-store sales from ads. Lightspeed Commerce, an omnichannel platform, has launched its Meta Conversions API to help Lightspeed retailers understand how Meta Ads influence in-store purchases. With Lightspeed and the Meta Conversions API, retail merchants can connect their stores directly to Meta, automatically sync their in-store product catalog, and securely send point-of-sale transactions into the Meta Conversions API. Merchants can send unified sales data to improve ad relevance, enhance campaign performance, and deliver more accurate measurement.
Shopify expands Shop Campaigns to the U.K. Shopify has expanded Shop Campaigns across the U.K. and other new markets. Already available in the U.S. and Canada, Shop Campaigns enables merchants to promote products across the Shop app and other third-party channels such as Meta, Google, X, Snap, and Pinterest through a single campaign. Shoppers who click on a promoted product are directed to the product page on the Shop app. Businesses only pay for completed sales.
Cleo updates Chargeback Prevention solution. Cleo, an AI-native supply chain orchestration and B2B integration platform, has updated its Chargeback Prevention tool for retail suppliers. With AI-powered detection, agents automatically analyze data patterns to surface risks and demand signals. Dynamic Insights leverages conversational intelligence to provide users with personalized information in real time. 3PL Order Intelligence extends Cleo’s live order view into warehousing and fulfillment workflows when utilizing outsourced fulfillment and multi-enterprise order management.
Flowspace launches $50,000 in support for ecommerce brands. Fulfillment technology company Flowspace has launched its Fulfillment Freedom Fund, offering eligible brands up to $50,000 in volume-based transition support. The funding is intended to offset platform exit expenses and onboarding hurdles, providing companies with a smoother path to a fulfillment setup. Beyond financial assistance, participating brands gain access to a distributed network across the U.S. and Canada, backed by AI software that handles inventory placement and order routing from a single dashboard.
Amazon Business adds Affirm as its first buy-now, pay-later option at checkout. Amazon Business has selected Affirm as a pay-over-time option at checkout. Using Affirm, customers can split the cost of eligible purchases and pay over time without late or hidden fees. Amazon Business says the new payment option will be available at checkout for all eligible sole-proprietor customers by Black Friday.
Neon secures $13 million to expand in-game commerce. Neon, a commerce infrastructure startup for video games, has raised $13 million in a Series A funding round, led by Andreessen Horowitz and Renegade Partners. Game developer Krafton has also joined as a strategic partner. Neon helps game publishers run direct-to-consumer services such as web stores. Neon will use the capital to expand its staff, build out loyalty systems, and expand into new markets. The round brings Neon’s total funding to $27 million since 2022.
Novi integrates with Syndigo to help brands accelerate content syndication. Novi, a platform that helps brands and retailers ensure AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Gemini find and recommend their products, has announced an integration with product content syndication platform Syndigo. The collaboration enables brands to flow Novi-optimized product content for publication across Syndigo’s retail network, which includes Amazon, Walmart, and Target. By allowing optimized content to flow directly into Syndigo, Novi says it is shortening the path from recommendation to execution.
Whop launches command-line interface for business owners and AI agents. Whop, an API to launch and run a business, has launched Whop CLI (Command-Line Interface), providing business owners on Whop easy access to the platform’s full API, whether they operate it themselves or collaborate with an AI agent. Whop says the CLI provides users with a simple, language-based approach to its full suite of tools. Whop CLI builds on Whop Cards and Whop Ads, two recent launches.
Algolia launches Dynamic Facets to prioritize relevant search filters automatically. Algolia, an AI site-search platform, has announced the availability of Dynamic Facets, which automatically surface the most relevant filters based on what a shopper is searching for. Dynamic Facets adapts in real time to consider context and user behavior. Facets, the attributes shoppers use to narrow results such as size, color, brand, or format, are automatically prioritized based on what is most relevant in the context, improving the experience.
Swap launches Checkout+ for post-purchase experiences. Swap, an ecommerce storefront, has launched Checkout+, a premium add-on that bundles free returns and order protection into a single opt-in experience. Brands earn a share of opt-in revenue. Return shipping on opted-in orders is covered through Swap’s carrier network. Claims are investigated and resolved through the automated portal, covering opted-in orders at an agreed-upon claim rate. Shoppers receive an instant prepaid label, with no cost to send items back.
Basic 3PL launches GO on Shopline. Basic 3PL, a nationwide logistics provider, has launched GO, a self-service onboarding tool to integrate natively with Shopline, an omnichannel commerce platform. Every Shopline merchant gains access to a certified fulfillment network. Merchants complete the required verification processes as part of their standard Shopline onboarding. Once verified, users are automatically routed into Basic 3PL’s nationwide fulfillment network, powered by the Soapbox order management system, to optimize fulfillment speed and geographic proximity.
Meta introduces Seller, an app for Facebook Marketplace sellers. Meta has released Seller, an app for people who sell on Facebook Marketplace, providing access to AI-powered listing creation, a unified inbox, inventory management, and performance insights. Anything created in the app automatically appears on Marketplace. Existing listings, messages, and selling history carry over. The app’s performance data includes views, clicks, and message threads.
Miva announces release of 26R2 with greater merchant control. Miva, an ecommerce platform for mid-market and enterprise businesses, has announced the availability of its 26R2 update. The release expands Miva’s Vexture merchandising, giving merchants greater flexibility in how products are selected, promoted, and displayed across the storefront. Merchants can now build merchandising showcases using AI prompts, collections, categories, and search queries. Miva says its 26R2 update also improves the platform’s page caching architecture and expands access to category facets.
