You can cover recent travel purchases at a rate of 1 cent per mile, making 75,000 miles worth $750 toward travel. However, the real way to maximize Capital One miles is by transferring them to one of 15-plus airline and hotel transfer partners.
Here are five great redemption options if you want to maximize your 75,000 Capital One miles.

Fly round-trip to Europe in one of the world’s best premium economy products
By transferring your Capital One miles to Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue program at a 1:1 ratio, you can take advantage of some of the best redemption rates on flights to Europe.
The program has now standardized saver-level pricing for all one-way flights between the U.S. and Europe, regardless of origin or destination, meaning you can connect at no extra cost from as little as:
- 25,000 miles in economy
- 40,000 miles in premium economy
- 60,000 miles in business class
By spending $4,000 on either the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card or the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card to earn the welcome bonus, thanks to both cards’ generous earning rates of at least 2 miles per dollar spent on every purchase, new cardholders would have at least 83,000 Capital One miles to redeem (through the combination of the 75,000-mile welcome bonus plus 8,000 miles from the $4,000 in purchases). This is more than enough miles for a round-trip flight to Europe in premium economy.
While Air France has a decent premium economy product, if you can find seats in KLM’s Premium Comfort cabin, we rate it one of the world’s best premium economy experiences.

Fly United Airlines’ Polaris business class to Europe
While United Airlines is not a transfer partner of Capital One, United’s Star Alliance partner Air Canada is.
You could transfer your Capital One miles to Air Canada’s Aeroplan program to book business-class flights to Europe of up to 4,000 miles in length on United, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines or Swiss for just 60,000 Aeroplan points one-way. This includes flights from most of the East Coast to most of Western Europe.
Another solid Aeroplan option is to redeem 70,000 points for flights of up to 6,000 miles in length, such as those from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to London’s Heathrow Airport (LHR) or from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Athens International Airport (ATH) in Greece.
Your 75,000 bonus miles from Capital One could score you a one-way overnight flight to Europe in a lie-flat seat. You’re more likely to arrive rested, refreshed and ready to explore England, Italy, Spain, Greece and beyond.

Save money on your next hotel stay
Accor Live Limitless is the loyalty program of over 40 hotel brands, including Fairmont, Sofitel, Mondrian, Mercure and Ibis, and is a transfer partner of Capital One miles at a 2:1 ratio.
The program uses a fixed-value redemption scheme. You can redeem 2,000 points for a 40-euro (about $42) discount on your hotel stay. Since you’d need to transfer 4,000 Capital One miles to get 2,000 ALL points, your Capital One miles would be worth 1.05 cents each, making that 75,000-mile bonus worth $787.50.

Fly round-trip business class to England on Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club program is a 1:1 transfer partner of Capital One miles and launched fantastic new Saver fares in 2024.
While all Virgin Atlantic-operated flights are priced dynamically, look for the Saver flights marked with a red tag for the lowest prices. Business-class Saver flights to and from the United Kingdom start at just 29,000 points each way. With a 75,000-mile welcome bonus, you could book round-trip flights to the United Kingdom in lie-flat seats with thousands of miles left over.
Fees, taxes and carrier-imposed surcharges apply; unfortunately, the U.K. Air Passenger Duty cannot be avoided.

Book 11 domestic flights on Alaska Airlines
Capital One transfer partner Finnair Plus offers domestic flights anywhere within the continental United States and Canada for just 11,000 Avios when flying Alaska Airlines. This is now the cheapest way to redeem Avios for domestic flights, with Finnair Plus charging a higher 16,500 Avios for domestic itineraries flying on American Airlines.
Alaska Airlines has a comprehensive route network that extends well beyond the Pacific Northwest. Finnair Plus’ generous routing rules allow you to fly from the Northeast all the way to Alaska via a hub like Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) for just 11,000 Avios plus minimal fees, taxes and surcharges, which is a great deal.
You could book seven domestic itineraries with a 75,000-mile welcome offer plus a few thousand miles earned from spending on everyday purchases.
Bottom line
Capital One’s 75,000-mile welcome offer can unlock incredible redemption options, whether you want to fly domestically, go to Hawaii or Europe, or save money on your next hotel stay.
