The Gist
- Leadership in transition. Sitecore enters its 2025 Symposium with new CEO Eric Stine and ongoing executive shifts that could shape the company’s next phase.
- AI at the forefront. From Sitecore Stream to agentic workflows, the company is betting heavily on AI-driven personalization and cloud scalability.
- Market momentum meets competition. Surpassing $500M in ARR shows strength, but Sitecore faces fierce rivals as Adobe, Optimizely and others double down on AI orchestration.
- CMSWire on the ground. Our editors will report live from Orlando on the innovation, community buzz and practical realities behind Sitecore’s AI-first evolution.
Orlando, here we come.
Ok, I’m not terribly excited about leaving the gorgeous autumn vibes of New England. Southern NH has all that kinda charm, and I’ll miss the 50-degree dog walks amid the gorgeous foliage. (Oh, and my human family, too).
But it’s worth the departure to the Sunshine State for a few days next week because the digital experience platform (DXP) world is ripe for innovation. And Sitecore will be stating its case again at its customer conference at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort, Nov. 3–5. It’s apparently itching to get the word out; the conference was originally going to be next year, a two-year wait after it finished up in Nashville at Symposium 2024 last fall (we were there, too).
But it’s Florida or bust now for the decades-only content management and digital experience software provider as we wind down 2025.

Sitecore in 2025: Product Momentum, Executive Shake-ups
This is a pretty big one for Sitecore. It will be the first time, at least on this big of a stage, for the new leadership to extol the virtues of the product roadmap, company vision and what it’s doing with artificial intelligence.
Sitecore enters its annual Symposium conference next week with momentum on the business side but continued turbulence in the executive suite. The company surpassed $500 million in annual recurring revenue in October 2024, driven by demand for its composable digital experience platform and rapid adoption of XM Cloud, which the company describes as its fastest-growing SaaS solution.
However, leadership stability remains elusive. Dave O’Flanagan, a product-focused executive, was named CEO in April 2024 but departed after just one year in May 2025. Eric Stine took over as CEO in May 2025. The C-suite has experienced additional turnover, with departures including CMO Kathie Johnson and Chief Digital & Information Officer Rohinee Mohindroo.
So all eyes at Symposium 2025 will be on Stine and the keynote tone. O’Flanagan was a “product guy” and got a lot of love in the community for his transparency and connection to customers and partners. Stine gets his opportunity now.

Sitecore Product Strategy: Composability and AI at the Core
Despite executive changes, Sitecore’s product direction centers on SaaS migration, composable architecture and AI integration.
The company’s portfolio spans XM Cloud, Content Hub, OrderCloud, Personalize, CDP and the recently introduced Stream platform. According to company officials, Sitecore continues to invest in headless and hybrid-headless architectures, API integrations and ecosystem partnerships. The company is still a regular in industry recognition from analysts, with placements as a leader in multiple Gartner, Forrester and IDC reports.
AI Capabilities Expand Across Platform
Sitecore released Sitecore Stream in February 2025 with expanded generative AI capabilities, including what the company describes as smarter personalization, agentic workflows and cloud migration accelerators.
The company asserts these tools aim to help marketers and developers deliver digital experiences at scale. The AI push extends across the product suite, with the company positioning these capabilities as central to its value proposition for enterprise customers navigating digital complexity.
All Eyes on Orlando: Symposium Sets the Stage for AI-First Digital Experience
Next week, the CMSWire team heads to Orlando for Sitecore Symposium 2025 — the company’s flagship event where the digital experience (DX) world will see just how far Sitecore has come in its AI-first evolution. The three-day conference promises to blend product innovation, composable architecture and human creativity into one cohesive story about the future of content and experience platforms.
The DXP Industry Context: DX Market in Flux
The timing couldn’t be more interesting. The DX market is in flux — Adobe is expanding Journey Optimizer with new AI orchestration, Optimizely is leaning into experimentation-led personalization, and Sitecore is positioning its portfolio as a unified, composable suite ready for an agentic future.
For Sitecore, we expect the conversation to center around how marketers, developers and brands can orchestrate human-plus-AI experiences across every channel, not just the website.
What We’ll Be Watching at Sitecore Symposium
- AI as a co-creator. Agentic workflows that can act, learn, and personalize in real time.
- XM Cloud’s enterprise moment. The company’s flagship cloud CMS continues to anchor its composable strategy.
- Connected ecosystems. With content supply chains becoming more complex, the role of Sitecore’s DAM and content ops platform will be crucial in linking creative assets to data-driven personalization.
- Partnerships that matter. Sitecore’s collaborations with Microsoft, Accenture and new AI startups could signal how it plans to scale innovation across its customer base.
Why This Event Matters in the Digital Experience World
For CX and marketing leaders, Sitecore Symposium is usually a pulse check on where enterprise DX strategy is heading. The conversations here often foreshadow how the market will evolve in the next 12 months: what tools brands will prioritize, how AI copilots will reshape workflows and how data, design and storytelling will converge in the post-cookie era.
CMSWire’s Take
We’ll be on the ground grabbing hallway conversations and tales from the exhibitor hall — the ones where the real insights happen. Expect stories about how organizations are turning AI hype into genuine business effectiveness, how composable architectures are being stress-tested in production and where brands still struggle to connect the dots between martech investment and customer value.
