AI Transforming Design Workflows
AI is transforming design workflows from specialized technical tasks to collaborative processes accessible to broader teams across organizations.
Figma entered the functional prototyping space in May 2025 with the launch of Figma Make, an AI-driven prompt-to-code tool in beta. The solution aims to bridge the gap between static design and functional UI through a conversational interface.
This development aligns with broader UX trends where AI integration is moving from assistant to creator. A 2024 McKinsey survey found 65% of organizations now regularly implement generative AI in at least one business area, up from one-third the previous year.
For marketing teams, AI-powered tools have heavily impacted content creation, enabling faster generation of consistent messaging across channels. According to industry experts, the technology can suggest improvements, generate basic content and test different versions to determine optimal performance.
Organizations adopting these tools are advised to align on prompting approaches and document guidelines to maintain brand consistency. While AI accelerates production, human oversight remains essential to ensure outputs meet brand standards and truly enhance user experience.
Design Mindset Shift for Designers, Engineers, Product Managers
Now designers, engineers, and product managers can all make high-fidelity artifacts to bring to the team for a more informed discussion. It’s a mindset shift that encourages you to play, take risks, and come up with more interesting solutions.
