TrustedCranes, a new B2B marketplace, is seeking to bring structure and brokerage oversight to the fragmented U.S. market for used mobile cranes, as construction and industrial buyers look for alternatives to costly new equipment and long delivery timelines.
TrustedCranes is a Germany-based startup. It has launched a concierge-style digital marketplace focused exclusively on used mobile cranes with lifting capacities of 30 tons and higher. The platform acts as an intermediary between buyers and sellers, managing inquiries, verification and inspections rather than facilitating direct peer-to-peer transactions.
The company is positioning the marketplace as an option for U.S. contractors, crane rental firms and industrial operators that increasingly rely on used equipment to support infrastructure, energy and commercial construction projects. In the United States, mobile cranes remain essential to large-scale jobs. However, sourcing equipment often involves a patchwork of dealer relationships, trade shows and general equipment-listing websites.
About the TrustedCranes B2B marketplace
TrustedCranes said it designed its model to reduce friction and risk by centralizing transactions through a brokerage team. Sellers list equipment with detailed specifications and anonymized images. Then, TrustedCranes coordinates buyer inquiries, background checks and inspection logistics before deals move forward.
The platform includes listings from major crane manufacturers commonly used in the U.S. market, according to the company. Those include:
- Grove
- Liebherr
- Tadano
- Demag
By aggregating international inventory, the marketplace could broaden sourcing options for U.S. buyers facing limited domestic availability.
The launch comes as contractors and rental companies remain cautious about capital spending. New mobile cranes can carry long lead times and elevated prices, pushing buyers toward the secondary market. Industry participants say demand for used heavy equipment has remained steady, particularly among mid-sized firms balancing project workloads with tighter budgets.
To accelerate adoption, TrustedCranes is waiving brokerage commissions through Dec. 31, 2026. The company said the commission-free period is intended to encourage buyers and sellers to test the platform without upfront transaction costs.
While TrustedCranes is initially focused on Europe and the Middle East, the marketplace is built for international use, offering English-language support and services aimed at facilitating cross-border transactions. As U.S. construction and infrastructure projects continue to rely on mobile lifting equipment, access to global used-equipment supply is becoming increasingly relevant.
TrustedCranes did not disclose U.S. customer adoption figures or financial targets.
