There’s a particular kind of magic in the idea of waking up to an email that says, “You’ve earned a commission.” It’s the modern equivalent of finding money in your coat pocket, except it’s real, and it didn’t come from a paycheck.
For most people, the idea of passive income sounds like a dream reserved for people with money to invest, such as those who buy rental properties, flip digital assets, or put five figures into dividend stocks. And, for most of the world, those are the only kinds of activities that can make truly passive income.
But what if you have none of that? What if your balance hovers closer to zero than to “investable capital,” yet you still want a way to build something that earns while you sleep?
Many times in the past, I’ve said that there was no such thing. Either you have money to invest or time to spend building your thing. However, some approaches are closer than others, and I find it worthwhile to share a strategy that is close enough to the real deal, even with $0 to your name.
